Muscat Canelli has made quite a name for itself in Texas. Since the mid 1980’s Muscat has been a favorite of Texas wine drinkers. This 2009 Semi-sweet Muscat from the Russell Lepard Vineyard of Brownfield has the intense floral nose so characteristic of a good Muscat. The acid on the finish balances nicely with just the right amount of sweetness that still lets the flavors of the grape shine through.
